Longwood University Foundation Scholarships

The Longwood University Foundation, Inc. supports scholarships for the benefit of Longwood students through our endowment. This scholarship program provided 897 scholarships totaling $2.5 million to more than 680 Longwood students during the 2022-2023 Academic Year.

Application Process

ALL enrolled students are automatically considered for scholarship opportunities without needing to apply. 

This is part of our commitment to ensure students are considered for all eligible scholarships thus removing the need to complete a general application. A small selection of our scholarships requires additional information, essays, or a portfolio from the candidates who are notified of their eligibility through their Longwood University email.

Scholarships are awarded throughout the year and scholarship recipients are notified through their Longwood University email and the Office of Financial Aid.

Additional Scholarship Information

Scholarships available from the Longwood University Foundation are made possible by the generous gifts of our donors.  Longwood University offers additional scholarships awarded through the Admissions Office to new, returning and transfer students.
