REVIVE! is Virginia’s statewide Opioid Overdose and Naloxone Education Illustrated image showing a hand holding a nasal spray device labeled (OONE) program. It equips participants with the knowledge and skills to recognize and respond to opioid overdose emergencies using naloxone (Narcan®)—a safe, life-saving medication that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.

At Longwood University, the Office of Education and Prevention Programs (OEP) collaborates with the Virginia Department of Health and the Crossroads Prevention Services (our local Community Services Board) to offer REVIVE! training sessions for students, faculty, and staff.

Types of REVIVE! Training Offered

  • Rapid REVIVE!
A brief, self-guided version is available during campus tabling events and other passive outreach opportunities.
  • Full Training (1.5 hours)
Designed for classes, student organizations, and campus leaders such as Resident Assistants. This session provides in-depth education and hands-on practice in overdose response.
