K.I.R. (Keeping It Real) is Longwood University’s primary hazing prevention initiative, focused on fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment. Hazing can affect anyone, and K.I.R. is committed to providing the education and tools to stop it before it starts.

Through tailored training sessions, the K.I.R. program equips students, faculty, and staff with the knowledge to recognize, prevent, and respond to hazing behaviors.

Who Should Attend K.I.R. Trainings?

We offer targeted hazing prevention trainings for:

  • Potential and new members of student organizations
  • Current members and leaders of student groups
  • Faculty and staff advisors who work with student organizations

Each session is customized to meet the specific needs and scenarios relevant to each audience, ensuring content that is timely, practical, and impactful.
