The Kinesiology program is pleased to welcome Dr. Jarod Vance to the faculty. Dr. Vance brings a strong background in Exercise Science and Kinesiology, combining expertise in both physiology and psychology. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Wittenberg University, a Master’s in Exercise Science from Miami University, and a Ph.D. in Kinesiology with a Doctoral Minor in Educational Research Methods from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
His teaching philosophy emphasizes inspiring students to engage deeply with the material and explore questions from multiple perspectives. Drawing on his interdisciplinary training, he highlights the connections between psychological and physiological principles across a range of courses. Dr. Vance’s research focuses on the effects of exercise and physical activity on cognitive health across the lifespan.
